Gray sky lingered above the grove that day. Clouds stretched as far as Micah could see, forming an inverted sea in the sky. Raindrops splattered onto the moss here by his harvest bucket and over there on the statue of Lady Dawn, but only one hit Micah. It splashed onto his forehead and streamed down into his left eye. He closed both eyes as he rubbed it out, and when he opened them again three people approached from the trail.
