Knit One

I’ve been knitting for three weeks now. Sue, the cataloger upstairs at work, has been teaching some of us during lunch on Thursdays or whenever else we run upstairs and pitifully peek into her office, yarn and needles in hand. This “wash cloth” was my first creation. It was supposed to turn out square, but instead it’s spade shaped and lumpy. I’m pretending it was supposed to be a red sting ray all along.

I’ve started a gray scarf for David and told my mom I’ll make her one in different shades of blue. I probably shouldn’t show her this picture.
